Revenge of the true Conservative.

Reading the Times Journal this morning, I learned the shock of the week - the Conservative Party in Schoharie County is backing the Democrat candidate, causing Republican Conservatives such as myself to shake our heads in shame. Then again, the old fable of the Conservative party just endorsing anyone who might have a chance to win - perhaps was proven this morning.

In reading the endorsement by the Conservative party Chairman, we learn that they do not have an ideological endorsement (figured by anyone with half a brain), but an endorsement based on "being well known, and the most electable" - this really tells a story for all true Conservatives in Schoharie County - perhaps on the statewide scale the Conservative Party of New York is the real deal, on the local level - principles mean nothing, experience means nothing, Conservatism & Republicanism mean nothing.

We will continue to foster a friendship with the Conservative & possibly the Independent parties, however we are disappointed, and are looking forward to a long friendship with mainly the Republican party.
